Going Full Circle

The worm castings used to create Uncle Bobs Vermicast Tonic is rich in microbiological colonies and nutrients and trace elements essential to stimulate plant health and growth.  The natural health food for your plants.

The Traceability of our Environmental Sustainable Food Recycling

Environmental sustainability is a very pressing issue globally, listed in the United Nations sustainability development goals as a key focus, it is one that we can either choose to ignore or make decisions and carry out actions that will make a difference.

Did you know that 4% of our total greenhouse gas emissions are from food and organic waste(1). For every kilogram of food waste, over 2.5kg of CO2 is emitted and when food ends up in landfill, it generates methane, a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) 25 times more potent than CO2.(2)

We know that many individuals and companies are seeking ways to help improve environmental outcomes which is very encouraging. That's where Hungry Worms comes in!

Hungry Worms Ltd and Uncle Bob’s Garden Care products are focused on a full cycle solution, converting waste food products in an environmentally sustainable manner into premium quality garden care products.

The main benefits are twofold:

  1. Selected waste products, the bulk of which are currently going to landfill, are collected and processed by commercial scale worm farms - Reducing green house gasses being released into the environment.

  2. The creation of high-quality natural products for soil revitalisation and healthy plant growth
